Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology has
a long tradition. Our roots go as far back as the
Evening School of Engineering in 1951. It educated
chemical and mechanical engineers. Next this school
was converted into the Engineering School of Higher
Education, in 1964. Full-time and part-time studies
were offered by 4 faculties.  
Agricultural studies were started in 1969 by the
Bydgoszcz branch of The Agricultural School of
Higher Education in Poznań. This branch became
independent in 1972. Those two schools were united
into the Jan and Jędrzej Śniadecki’s University of
Technology and Agriculture in Bydgoszcz. Then, it
was converted into the UTP University of Science
and Technology in 2006. From 2021, The university
changed its name to the Bydgoszcz University of
Science and Technology. The Bydgoszcz University
of Science and Technology is a multi-disciplinary
school offering many taught programmes.
